What happened to SAP BTP at Sapphire 2026?
SAP folded BTP, Business Data Cloud, and Business AI into one SAP Business AI Platform. BTP did not go away, it became the foundation layer that the data, agents, and Joule Studio sit on. If anything, getting BTP right matters more now, because it is what your Business AI stands on.
What does clean core actually mean for our upgrades?
It means custom logic lives in side-by-side extensions on BTP instead of modifications jammed into the ERP core. Keep the core standard and your S/4HANA upgrades stay fast and predictable, and you can turn on new SAP features like Joule with little rework. Pile modifications into the core and every release becomes a rebuild.
Do we need to migrate off PI/PO or CPI NEO right now?
CPI NEO is deprecated, so anything still on it has a shutdown deadline you have to beat. PI/PO is on borrowed time too. We run pattern-based migrations onto Integration Suite with zero-downtime cutovers. With Lucid Motors we moved 65 interfaces off NEO with zero defects at cutover.
Is SAP Build real low-code or just a demo?
It is real, and business teams run on it.
