A note from our founder
Gavin Quinn
Founder & CEO
I started Mindset in 2010, but my passion for improving the lives of SAP users goes back to my first exposure to SAP in 2003. I’d studied both computer science and design at the University of Minnesota, and my belief was that design was a superpower that could dramatically change how we interact with software.
Like most people, my first reaction to SAP was “this UX is rough.” But I came to realize the power of the platform, and the breadth of companies across the world that use SAP as their core system. My theory then, and now, was simple: pull the good parts out of SAP, combine them with great design and more modern technology, and actually make SAP work for people.
We had our start in 2010 at Target as their R&D lab, where we first proved the theory with SAPUI5, then with Fiori during the mobility wave. We expanded our footprint to building the full app-dev stack with BTP and now BDC. Along the way, we became the best in the world at it, earning the AppHaus credentials to prove it.
Now the next wave is here. The new experience will be an even bigger change than mobile or portals. We’re bringing our skills forward to another generation to AI. We’re designing the interactions, the platform, and the new way of working with AI to unknown, but exciting, ends.
We are rooted in experience, but intelligence is no longer just a marketing buzzword. It’s really happening. Our tagline, “intelligence, experienced,” is just the start.

Founded at Target
Started as an SAP R&D lab inside Target, where we first proved the theory with SAPUI5.

2013
Grew beyond one client
Branched out to enterprises beyond Target.

2015
Expanded rapidly
Added ten new clients in a single year.

2017
Experienced hypergrowth
First year of 40% year-over-year growth.

2018
Became first US AppHaus Partner
Chosen as first US-based SAP Design AppHaus Network Partner and opened the Minneapolis design lab.

2019
Presented on Sapphire keynote
Presented at Sapphire alongside SAP CEO Christian Klein. Grew headcount to 100+ people.

2020
Introduced global delivery
Opened the team in India and moved into full-stack BTP build. Headcount surpassed 200 people.

2021
Enlarged AppHaus footprint
Grew the US AppHaus footprint to Denver. Headcount surpassed 275 people.

2022
Gained scale
300+ people and 90 active clients.

2024
Earned SAP Gold Partner
Earned SAP PartnerEdge Sell for BTP Cloud, then SAP Gold Partner status. Also became a Google Cloud Partner.

2026
Demonstrating "Intelligence, experienced"
Launched twenty SAP Joule agents at Sapphire and the next brand era: demonstrating our experience, brought forward to AI.
