Patterson: warehouse-performance tools for fulfillment-center managers
Ran Design Thinking with fulfillment-center managers, then built a performance app, a real-time outbound-shipping dashboard, and a labor app.

Delivering Value with Enhanced Warehouse Management Tools
The client’s fulfillment center managers needed a new system for management of daily warehouse performance data. They sought tools that would provide real-time access to core data, enhance customer experience with on-time deliverables, and reduce the time required for populating warehouse performance data.
The client collaborated with Mindset to first approach the challenge using Design Thinking, which included low-resolution prototypes followed by high-resolution versions for easy demonstration.
The Agile development team then used Scrum methodology to build and implement the solution, which included a robust employee performance app, a real-time dashboard for outbound shipping, and a new labor management app. The end solution led to higher productivity, cost optimization, and time savings.

If we built this today
Concept · not delivered scopeWarehouse work that runs itself.
This is a forward-looking concept, not the scope we delivered on this engagement. It is the build we would reach for now, grounded in SAP that ships today.
This was distribution-heavy work across healthcare and veterinary supply, where SAP BTP and Fiori carried the warehouse and fulfillment flows, so the modern build leans into warehouse execution and logistics exceptions.
The Joule agent
EWM Warehouse Order Agent
Reads open warehouse orders, stock situation, and inbound and outbound queues in SAP EWM, then proposes how to sequence picks, packs, and putaway when capacity or stock gets tight. It drafts the rebalanced plan and a warehouse supervisor approves before anything moves.
SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori · PROPOSE · On-time order fulfillment rate and warehouse throughput
The Fiori app
The EWM warehouse monitoring Fiori app (Joule-embedded)
The EWM monitoring app with Joule in the launchpad surfaces stuck orders and bottlenecks and lets a supervisor ask for the next best action in plain language. Honest category here, since the exact app name depends on your EWM release.
Embedded in the Fiori launchpad
The data product
Cloud ERP Intelligence
Grounds the agent in governed warehouse, inventory, and fulfillment data so its proposals reflect real stock positions and order history rather than a stale copy. Runs on your S/4HANA through Cloud Connector with no data leaving the system.
Intelligent Application on SAP Business Data Cloud
We would mine the real picking and fulfillment flows in SAP Signavio first, map the warehouse and BTP estate in SAP LeanIX, then let MIND accelerators carry the old EWM and Fiori logic into the new agent-assisted model.
