My SAPPHIRE 2016 Plans

I just finished tidying up my two presentations for next week at SAPPHIRE and have my agenda all ready to go! Thanks to an incredible effort from Carrie Davenport, we’re all set to have a great week. I’m heading from Minneapolis down to Orlando Sunday afternoon to get situated and staying at the J.W. Marriot in case anyone wants to connect there or at the next door Ritz Carlton. In case I see you there, remind me to tell my story about the breakfast buffet and running into Hasso Plattner from 2 years ago! Anyway, here’s the scoop:

Mindset Analytics for SAP BW and Fiori is now certified!

In near record time, we completed our first Hana Cloud Platform Certification this week! Additionally, Mindset Analytics for SAP BW and Fiori lets you take any BEx Query and bring it into your Fiori Launchpad with zero coding. On HCP, you can simply subscribe to this application and connect it securely to your environment.

Thanks to Aviad Rivlin for helping to usher this through. Further, you’ll be able to see it at SAPPHIRE in a few places: check out the BW + HANA booths in the Digital Enterprise Platform area.

The Buzz: Fiori for iOS

Wow — it seems just about everyone I know in IT (and a lot outside of SAP that hear me go on and on about Fiori) are asking us at Mindset about our thoughts on Fiori for iOS.

In conclusion, while Steven Lucas explains a bit more detail in his blog, there is sure to be a lot of open questions. However, rest assured, we’ll be the first ones to try it once the SAP HCP SDK for iOS is released.

The main thing I liked to see is SAP holding consistent on their word that Fiori is an evolving UX strategy. Not simply tied to SAPUI5 and one technology. Furrther, you can see in the Fiori Design Guidelines for iOS which are a nice blend of modern Fiori design and iOS.

Event Theme?

Finally, this is my guess; There will still be a significant focus on HANA. However, the shift will be toward the digital core, S/4, and the Cloud. Further, the UX focus will be largely around the iOS announcement and the brand-new Fiori Design Guidelines which are really looking great!

Hoping to see you all there!
