BW for Fiori x HANA Cloud Platform = Awesome

I just published a high-level overview video on our BW for Fiori app running on HANA Cloud Platform. Before you do anything else today, check it out:

I’m incredibly proud to announce that our BW for Fiori app, originally targeted for on-premise SAP Gateway hosting, is now also running on SAP’s HANA Cloud Platform.

With this, you get:

  • Quick visualization of your BW/BEx data
  • Easy sharing of data with those who need it
  • Customizing your Fiori Launchpad with special user-generated tiles that tie directly to query results
  • (Most pertinent to cloud) Use Fiori without having to install all the infrastructure bits on-site

Seriously, I can’t overstate how proud I am. You guys should see how many times we’ve scribbled on, crossed out, erased, and annotated our whiteboards in the Mindset development office. We knew the platform had all the fundamentals to get us going – we simply had to connect our vision to it. Basically Skunk Works without the jet engines.
