Mindset New Hires Join the Mindset Team

Mindset had a busy summer growing our team as we continue on our path as leaders for innovation of the enterprise on SAP.

Every hire is critical for an organization and we couldn’t be more thrilled to announce our new team members who all bring exciting areas of expertise to Mindset and further align our vision of being an industry leader for making SAP simple, mobile and beautiful.

Mike Berg joined our team in late June as a Sr SAP Developer. Since joining Mike has been working directly with Mindset client’s on mission-critical Fiori projects while also assisting us in key R&D initiatives.

Mike brings with him more than 15 years of experience as an ABAP Developer. Throughout his career he has demonstrated a strong track record of success and leadership within SAP development, spending the majority of his career thus far with Entegris and Cargill. Throughout his career Mike has displayed an excellent work ethic, intelligence and enthusiasm for technology that made him a great fit for our development team here at Mindset. Mike holds his Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from the College of Business at Tennessee Technological University.

While at Entegris Mike received the President’s warde of his outstanding work there and he also presented at the 2016 ASUG Annual Conference/Sapphire NOW. His topic was, “From Ugly Duckling to Swan – SAP UX Strategy in Practice @ Cargill”

Mike grew up in Nashville, TN, and now lives in Maple Grove. He is the proud Uncle to 9 nieces and nephews. Outside of work Mike enjoys Bowling, good whiskey, and classic cars. He is the President of his homeowners; association and a volunteer financial counselor as he enjoys educating people on saving, budgeting, and getting out of debt.

Naveen Rokkam joined Mindset in August as our Lead Software Developer. In his new endeavor at Mindset, he will be spearheading our Product development. Additionally, he will be strategizing the integration of new technologies to drive ‘Business Transformation’ within the SAP enterprise space. He is accredited for being a key contributor to the development of 18 different technologies in SAP Labs. During his 9 years of progressive work experience, Naveen has been part of SAP Labs, SAP partner network, and SAP Customer base. He pioneered the first-ever integration scenario between On Demand and On Premise business solutions and has made significant contributions to the development of SAP Netweaver, Business by Design, Process Integration, and Gateway.

Naveen is a technology evangelist and a strategic thinker who enjoys leading disruptive innovations. Driven by the spirit of entrepreneurship he enjoys sharing new trends on technology and has been a global SAP TechEd speaker in 2009, 2010, SAP DKOM speaker in 2010, and 2011 and 1 million Cups in 2016. He enjoys talking volumes about technology and how it can be enabled to achieve Digital transformation. One of his core passions is taking an idea to completion through rapid prototyping and use of innovative technology. Naveen recently received his Masters’s degree in Computer Science from the University of South Dakota and also holds his Bachelors in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Naveen is an avid traveler. He enjoys exploring new places with his beloved wife Tejasvi, who is a dentist and health administrator by profession. Together they also volunteered and raised funds for earthquake victims in conjunction with American Red cross. They enjoy the quality of life style in Midwest and are looking forward to making Minnesota their new home.

 

andy-photoAndy Prier

Andy Prier joined Mindset in August as a Sr SAP UX Architect. Prier will be leading major Fiori projects for us and helping clients from a UX advisory perspective and providing key input as we build new products.

Andy has worked in the SAP space since 2008. He has a unique blend of design, software development, and SAP experience with particular strengths in ABAP, XI/PI, EDI, Fiori, SAPUI5, Netweaver Gateway, and other non-SAP technologies. He also has a very strong background in SAP implementations; his diversity and depth of experience add great value to our Architecture team. Before joining Mindset, Andy was the SAP UX Practice Lead at Nimbl based out of Denver, CO. Andy holds his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Missouri Southern State University.

Andy has a lot of accomplishments and accolades behind him in the SAP world. He has spoken for SAPinsider (Projects, BI, Basis Admin, Fiori UX) and at many ASUG event and chapter meetings. UX Design and SAP Integration have been Andy’s speciality since he started working in the SAP space in 2008.

Andy is married to his wife Myrah and they have two girls, Adrienne (4) and Mandy (2). They live in the Denver metro. When Andy is not solving complex SAP UX problems he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, camping in the mountains and hiking 14ers (mountain peaks over 14,000 ft).

Luke Van Epern started with Mindset in September as our Director of Operations. In this role, Luke will work closely with our Project Solutions team and across our various clients to ensure a superior engagement experience with Mindset and guarantee client satisfaction.

Luke has a long history of delivery results within the SAP space at Fortune 500 corporations. He was part of the initial SAP implementation at Target. Luke managed BASIS, landscape strategy, technical release management, and platform support. In total Luke has 7+ years of progressive SAP experience combined with technical leadership experience outside of SAP in the realms of mobility, infrastructure, and communications. Luke received his Bachelors degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Luke is married to his wife Megan with two kids, Sam (6) and Olivia (4). They live in Plymouth, and love to explore the outdoors of Minnesota. They spend the vast majority of their time with the kids’ ever increasing slate of school and athletic activities. When he has the chance Luke spends most of his free time golfing or wishing he was golfing.
