Why this matters
An early 2014 SAP Fiori Phase 1 for a large US payments and business services company, when Fiori was just becoming a real enterprise option. Mindset was there at the start.
The challenge
The company was an established player in payments, data, and business services, running SAP for core business operations. Its teams were working with traditional SAP interfaces at a time when Fiori was just becoming viable for enterprise deployment.
The ask was straightforward: get Fiori stood up and working in Phase 1, with a foundation that could be built on.
What we did
Mindset ran a Phase 1 SAP Fiori implementation, scoping the initial Fiori deployment for the company's SAP environment. The engagement focused on delivering working Fiori apps and the underlying configuration to support them.
The work was targeted and phased by design. Phase 1 established the Fiori foundation. The company, a large employer in the Minneapolis area, was an early adopter of the platform.
The outcomes
The Phase 1 engagement delivered a working SAP Fiori environment for the company. The foundational Fiori setup was completed and handed over, giving the company an initial Fiori deployment on which future phases could be built.
If we built this today
Concept · not delivered scopeFrom SAP screens to a guided front door.
This is a forward-looking concept, not the scope we delivered on this engagement. It is the build we would reach for now, grounded in SAP that ships today.
This Phase 1 work moved a payments and business services company's teams off traditional SAP interfaces and onto role-based Fiori, and today that same goal starts with Joule built right into the launchpad.
The data product
Cloud ERP Intelligence
A governed view of the company's SAP S/4HANA business data that grounds the launchpad assistant in real meaning, so its answers reflect actual transactions and master data rather than a generic guess. It keeps the agent honest about what each user can see and do.
Intelligent Application on SAP Business Data Cloud
The Joule agent
Knowledge Graph Navigator
Sits in the Fiori launchpad as the role-based front door, reading a user's open tasks and the business objects behind them across SAP S/4HANA. It answers natural-language questions and drafts the next action, so people work the process instead of hunting for the right transaction screen.

The Fiori app
Joule in the Fiori launchpad
Joule is the copilot built into the standard Fiori launchpad now, so a question or a request kicks off the right app and pre-fills it instead of the user navigating a menu. It is the same role-based shell the Phase 1 work was reaching for, with the assistant layered on top.
Embedded in the Fiori launchpad
We would mine how people actually move through these tasks in SAP Signavio first, map the app and role landscape in SAP LeanIX, and let MIND accelerators carry the old screens forward to a Fiori experience with the assistant built in.
