Nebraska Public Power District: a centralized, mobile-friendly employee resources portal
Ran Design Thinking to replace a 15-year-old HR portal with a mobile-friendly resource hub for all 1,900 employees.
Nebraska Public Power District
Creating a Centralized, Mobile-Friendly Employee Resources Portal
The client sought to replace their legacy portal with a centralized, user-friendly site for Human Resources information. Mindset led the client through the stages of the Design Thinking process - Explore, Discover, Design, Deliver – to strategically uncover shortcomings within the 15-year-old legacy system and gain a deeper understanding of user requirements. A story backlog was created to estimate development effort and create a release timeline. This collaboration between the client and Mindset led to a mobile-friendly, one-stop shop for employee resources, easily accessible by all 1,900 users without any dependency on HR staff.

If we built this today
Concept · not delivered scopeAsset intelligence for the grid.
This is a forward-looking concept, not the scope we delivered on this engagement. It is the build we would reach for now, grounded in SAP that ships today.
This was Fiori and analytics work for a large state electric utility, the kind of build that turns field asset data into something planners and crews can actually act on.
The data product
Cloud ERP Intelligence
Pulls asset, work-order, and reliability data into one governed model on SAP Business Data Cloud, so the agent reasons over real grid history instead of a stale export. It grounds the alerts in what the assets have actually done.
Intelligent Application on SAP Business Data Cloud
The Joule agent
Asset Performance Alert Processing Agent
Reads sensor readings, maintenance history, and notification backlogs across the grid's physical assets, then proposes which substations, transformers, and lines need work and in what order. A human planner approves before any maintenance order goes out.
SAP S/4HANA Asset Management, SAP Fiori · PROPOSE · Unplanned asset downtime
The Fiori app
Create Maintenance Request / Order (Joule-embedded)
The standard S/4HANA maintenance order apps with Joule sitting in the launchpad, so a planner can ask for the next priority jobs and draft the order from the same screen. No swivel-chair between a dashboard and the transaction.
Embedded in the Fiori launchpad.
Honestly, we'd mine the maintenance and work-order process in SAP Signavio first, map the Fiori and asset estate in SAP LeanIX, and let MIND accelerators carry the old analytics build into the new one.
