Tracking Asset Movement with a Custom SAP BTP Solution

Industrial pipeline system with red valves at oil and gas processing facility showing complex infrastructure

The client lacked the ability to track assets in and out of plants, manufacturing facilities, and offices. This became particularly problematic during COVID, when employees were able to take resources home to continue their work remotely. Without tracking, it was difficult to confirm assets were available and could be moved back to a plant.

Mindset designed and developed an asset movement solution, built and hosted in SAP BTP, that easily connected to various data sources and managed asset moves across the organization. The client was satisfied with the solution as the application significantly improved the ease of tracking an asset from one location to another, established financial transparency for assets that were moved or no longer part of the organization, and enabled the client to stay compatible with future versions of SAP technologies.
