On January 30, 2017, SAPUI5 version 1.44 will be officially available for public use. Further, over the past year SAP has released multiple versions of SAPUI5, unlocking the latest and greatest features with each release. Interestingly from version SAPUI5 1.42, they have condensed their design-led development process cycle (at least in principle) from four stages to three.
Design Thinking continues to be the core of the design-led development process. The idea of discovery phase followed by design continues to excite the business user and developer community. Learn how Mindset approaches Design Thinking here.

Some of the features in SAPUI5 include new controllers for output management, a must-have component for your Sales & Distribution, Material Management, and Product Planning business processes.
Among the many other updates to the controllers, the Overview Page continues to receive attention. For example, previously a table card was only able to show a data field in first and second columns only, while the third column would display data point. Additionally, with v1.44, all three columns can show either a data field or a data point.
