Mindset is excited to welcome Jelena Perfiljeva to the Mindset team! Jelena has joined Mindset’s Solutions practice as a Lead SAP Developer and will be diving right in to help lead a team on a key strategic project at one of our largest clients.
Jelena is an experienced ABAP developer and well-known SAP industry thought leader. She started her SAP career in 2005. Since, she has been involved in SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and support for several US-based companies. Jelena has been an active member of the SAP Community (formerly known as SCN) and was chosen SCN Member of the Month in April 2013. She was also the recipient of SAP Community Citizenship and Hero awards in 2017-2018 and is an SAP Mentor alumna. She has published two books on SAP: “What on Earth is an SAP IDoc?” with Espresso Tutorials, and “ABAP: An Introduction” (co-authored with Brian O’Neill) for SAP Press. She has also been a regular speaker at SAP conferences.
At Mindset, Jelena will be partnering with several other passionate SAP community members, including Ethan Jewett and Paul Modderman. To Jelena, Mindset is an environment where an open mind is not only welcome but is considered essential, and is nurtured. She can’t wait to share her knowledge with the team and learn from them as well.
Jelena is originally from Riga, Latvia and currently lives in Cary, NC with her husband and 11-year-old son. She is an enthusiastic baker and frequently uses cooking analogies in her writing and presentations. Growing up she wanted to be a doctor, so medical references sometimes find their way there too. Recently, she also become interested in education theory, reading the classic book “I Learn from Children” by Caroline Pratt which has been an eye-opening experience for her in her work.
