SAP Business AI Solution Architect – BTP & Joule

As an SAP Business AI Solution Architect at Mindset, you will design modern, scalable AI solutions leveraging SAP Business AI—including SAP Joule, SAP copilots, predictive services, and embedded intelligence—alongside custom-built AI capabilities on SAP BTP. You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to ideate, prototype, and deliver AI-powered use cases that enhance user productivity, automate processes, and unlock new business insights across the SAP ecosystem.

This role is ideal for an architect who blends strong SAP platform knowledge with modern AI engineering concepts. You will lead workshops, design architectures, build PoCs, guide enterprise adoption of AI, and collaborate closely with BTP, Build, and Data teams to deliver secure, responsible, value-driven AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Use Case Design: Lead discovery sessions to identify high-impact AI use cases across SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, BTP applications, and cross-system processes.
  
• Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end AI workflows using SAP Business AI, Joule, SAP coproducts, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and custom AI services on BTP.
  
• Prototyping & PoCs: Build and lead rapid PoCs and MVPs to validate feasibility, user experience, and business value.
  
• Custom AI on BTP: Architect retrieval pipelines, embeddings, LLM-powered extensions, generative copilots, and side-by-side AI applications.
  
• Integration & Extensibility: Design secure integrations between SAP core systems and AI services, leveraging CAP, Event Mesh, API Management, and clean-core patterns.
  
• Responsible AI: Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, data privacy, and responsible AI guidelines.
  
• Client Advisory: Provide thought leadership to executives and enterprise architects on AI strategy, roadmap development, and value realization.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, data engineers, and integration architects to bring AI-driven experiences to life.
  
• Pre-Sales Support: Support client workshops, demos, RFP responses, and solution proposals for AI opportunities.
  
• Travel: Ability to travel as needed up to 20–25%.
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in SAP architecture/development, with at least 2–3+ years focused on AI, BTP, automation, or intelligent extensions.
  
• SAP AI Expertise:
  
  • Familiarity with SAP Business AI portfolio (Joule, predictive AI, SAP copilots)
    
  • Understanding of AI Core, AI Launchpad, vector stores, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
    
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Experience designing or building AI-powered apps using CAP, Node.js/Java services, and BTP extension models
    
  • Understanding of LLM architectures, embeddings, and integration patterns
    
• Architecture & Security: Strong grasp of clean-core extensibility, API-led design, event-driven patterns, OAuth2/JWT/SAML-based security, and enterprise governance.
  
• Consulting Competencies: Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and ability to translate AI capabilities into actionable business outcomes.
  
• Delivery Leadership: Experience working across discovery, prototype, architecture, and delivery phases of complex SAP or AI programs.
  

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Experience integrating SAP systems with hyperscaler AI services (Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock).
  
• Hands-on development of generative copilots, conversational UIs, or task automation flows.
  
• SAP certifications in BTP, AI, or Application Development.
  
• Experience with knowledge models, enterprise search, or domain-specific vector stores.
