Director, SAP Business AI & Clean Core Transformation

As the Director of SAP Business AI & Clean Core Transformation at Mindset, you will define and lead our strategy for AI modernization across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and the broader SAP ecosystem. You will own the advancement of AI-driven capabilities—including SAP Joule, generative AI, SAP copilots, predictive services, and embedded intelligence—while guiding enterprise clients through the shift to a clean-core, extensible, cloud-ready architecture.

This role blends visionary leadership with hands-on expertise. You will shape Mindset’s AI and Clean Core service offerings, drive major enterprise transformation programs, partner with solution and delivery teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CDOs, and enterprise architecture leaders. Your work will directly influence how our clients adopt AI responsibly, accelerate business value, and simplify their core systems through scalable BTP-based extensions.

Key Responsibilities

• Practice Leadership: Own and evolve Mindset’s AI & Clean Core practice offerings, methods, accelerators, roadmaps, and go-to-market strategy.
  
• AI Strategy & Enablement: Lead client strategy for SAP Joule, generative AI, SAP copilots, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and embedded AI capabilities across S/4HANA and BTP.
  
• Clean Core Modernization: Guide customers through clean-core transformation—extensibility on BTP, event-driven patterns, side-by-side extensions, custom code remediation, and fit-to-standard adoption.
  
• Solution Architecture: Define AI-powered workflows, knowledge models, retrieval pipelines, LLM integration patterns, and secure extensibility architectures leveraging BTP services.
  
• Executive Advisory: Partner with C-level stakeholders to define multi-year AI and clean-core modernization roadmaps, governance models, and operating frameworks.
  
• Program Leadership: Oversee delivery quality across AI and modernization programs, offering escalation support, technical oversight, and coaching for delivery teams.
  
• Innovation: Stay ahead of SAP’s Business AI roadmap and ensure Mindset offerings incorporate the latest capabilities in BTP, Joule, AI Core, Build, CAP, and automation.
  
• Pre-Sales Excellence: Support Sales with client workshops, demos, POVs, scoping, and compelling proposal narratives that articulate business value.
  
• Thought Leadership: Represent Mindset across SAP community channels—blogs, webinars, events, conferences, and analyst interactions.
  
• Mentorship: Develop internal capability across AI engineering, clean-core architecture, BTP development, and intelligent automation.
  
• Travel: Ability to travel as needed up to 25%.
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of SAP experience with at least 3+ years focused on BTP, AI, automation, or extensibility strategies.
  
• AI Expertise:
  
  • Familiarity with SAP Joule, generative AI, SAP copilots, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and LLM-powered extensions
    
  • Understanding of RAG patterns, prompt engineering, and secure enterprise AI deployment
    
• Clean Core Expertise:
  
  • Experience with extensibility on SAP BTP, side-by-side development, CAP, extensions, event-driven architecture
    
  • Strong understanding of S/4HANA clean-core principles and modernization programs
    
• Architecture Skills: Deep knowledge of cloud-native design, integration patterns, security, governance, and enterprise AI operating models.
  
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with BTP services such as CAP, Build, API Management, Event Mesh, XSUAA, Destinations, and integration with S/4.
  
• Consulting Competencies: Exceptional executive communication skills and experience shaping business cases, value frameworks, and transformation roadmaps.
  
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop practice offerings, and drive enterprise-scale delivery outcomes.
  

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Prior experience implementing SAP AI solutions or enterprise generative AI pilots.
  
• SAP certifications in BTP, AI, or relevant architecture tracks.
  
• Experience with hyperscaler AI services (Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex, AWS Bedrock) integrated with SAP.
  
• Experience leading modernization or greenfield S/4 transformations.
