As an S/4 Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing projects related to enhancing the manufacturing processes and optimizing the overall manufacturing experience within our organization. You will be responsible for driving efficiency improvements, implementing best practices, and ensuring a seamless and innovative manufacturing journey for our products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading initiatives, and utilizing your manufacturing expertise to achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage projects aimed at improving business processes, quality, and overall efficiency – from planning, through supply chain, manufacturing, and finance operations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create and maintain a detailed program plan, tracking progress and ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Organizational Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives within the manufacturing lifecycle. Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate technology solutions such as automation, IoT, and data analytics into the business process to enhance efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and real-time monitoring. Ensure the effective integration of related systems to enable end-to-end process execution.
- Resource Management: Manage resources, including budget allocation, personnel, and equipment, to ensure successful project execution and achievement of business objectives across functional areas. Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to team members to ensure program success.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in affected business processes and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address any issues that might impact production timelines or quality.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project status, updates, and results to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Collaborate with teams such as R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to align manufacturing strategies with overall business goals.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with SAP partners and third-party vendors to leverage their expertise and resources in the transformation. Ensure that vendor relationships are effectively managed and contracts are fulfilled.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs for operational teams and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Change Management: Develop and execute a change management strategy to facilitate communications, impact assessment and remediation, and readiness tracking to provide a smooth transition for end-users.
- Innovation and Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing, supply chain, and related fields. Identify opportunities for innovation and implement novel approaches to enhance the manufacturing experience.
- Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes and track progress toward goals. Generate regular reports to showcase improvements, achievements, and areas for further enhancement.
- Post-Implementation Support: Ensure the successful transition from project to operations mode, including monitoring system performance and addressing any post-implementation issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 5-10 years of program or project management with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
- Previous experience leading at least one full lifecycle implementation of SAP S/4
- Proven track record of leading large-scale corporate transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes, quality control, and process optimization methodologies. Preferred experience in discrete manufacturing and/or semiconductor industries.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies such as automation, robotics, data analytics, and IoT.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex situations and drive solutions.
- Project management certifications (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) are desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills with experience working with senior leadership, project stakeholders, and vendors
- Proven skills and ability to lead project teams through implementation life cycles
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
